Shelby - Napoleon

Napoleon as a leader made smart choices, but it led to a negative conclusion.
When Napoleon fought Russia in 1812, he defeated Russia but retreated and left the people to starve, which led to death. When the Continental System was made, it probably did well for the nobles, but it didn’t do well for the poor, because the supplies were not brought in to France. It lead to many people leaving the country.  It was a good thing to make the Napoleonic Code as some form of law in France, but women and children did not have the rights under the law. The men were recognized as equal to the law and was guaranteed freedom of religion, and to have work. When Napoleon was exiled to Elba in 1813, Louis XVIII became the new king, made equality in the law for all people, and religious freedom. In 1814, Napoleon was emperor for a 100 days, but got defeated at Waterloo. When Napoleon was exiled to Elba in 1813, Louis XVIII became the new king, made equality in the law for all people, and religious freedom. In 1814, Napoleon came back, and was emperor for 100 days, but got defeated at Waterloo. If Napoleon would have made smart choices all the way, he would have been an excellent emperor.
