He improved many things for the better including an education system. He brought the economic good times and made a civil code, which made all men equal before the law. While there was many consequences, you always have to make sacrifices for what you want. He ordered his troops to fire a whiff of grapeshot. Napoleon had many connections and, rose quickly through the army ranks. He became a lieutenant at just 16 years old, he also became a brigadier general at 24. He spread his ideas of religion, freedom, and serfdom across Europe. Majority of the French endorsed his actions. In 1802, he became the First Consul for life, and proclaimed himself Emperor of the French, in 1804. Through Napoleon’s wars and alliances, he altered Europe’s political boundaries. He contributed with the growth of the spirt of nationalism in Europe.
