Melissa - Napoleon

Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader who made good decisions.
He was a strong leader who led battles himself. He quickly rose through the ranks because so many officers fled France.  At just age sixteen he became a second lieutenant and at twenty-four he became a brigadier general. His empire stretched from France to the borders of Russia. He had the great idea of the continental system which stopped the trade with Britain. Even though in the battle of Moscow he lost most of his soldiers and that was the falling of his title, he still won it. He accomplished great things that are not military related. He set up government run schools, made road building all over France, abolished serfdom, and all people had to pay taxes. He created the national bank of France which made paper money and loans. He ended the election of bishops and the French government appointed catholic bishops and paid clergy but the pope got authority over them. He was a great military and political leader.
