Paige M -Victims or Villains

Villains or Victims?

King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were not your typical king and queen. An Austrian queen and her French King
. At first, stereotypes of this foreign girl were high. The majority of the French population were unsure of her strange being. She was different, she didn’t fathom the responsibilities her title held. She spent money on useless objects to please herself. France was left to suffer in poverty. They didn’t have nearlyenough support from their government. Louis XVI was indecisive and didn’t want to be involved in government decisions. He didn’t represent the ideal leader. France was outraged by these irresponsible figures! They were villains! Villains who took advantage of their power. Villains who destroyed France’s economyAs a result, the third estate took the blow for a majority of these leaders’ mistakes. The second and first estate had their concerns but weren’t paying nearly as many consequences as the third estate.  From the beginning, Marie and Louis XVI were not strong leaders. They were trulyvillains for not preforming the simple tasks of a leader. They were careless. France had finally reached their breaking point. Outraged, they set out to dismantle the crown. This royal pair did not once make an effort to replenish their relationship with France. In the end they paid the ultimate consequence.
