Lauren - French Revolution Monarchs

Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI were prominent figures in the times before the revolution. They were known to be weak leaders and big spenders, some even going as far as to nickname Marie Antoinette the “Duchess of Debt.”

Shelby - Napoleon

Napoleon as a leader made smart choices, but it led to a negative conclusion.

Brent - Louis xvi

Louis xvi
My opinion I don’t think Louis was a very good leader his gave money to America while he France was in dept. I don’t like how he raised tax on the third estate as they had the least amount of money.

Riley M - King Louis xvi

My opinions on King Louis and Marie was that they were awful leaders and fully deserve what they got.

Melissa - Napoleon

Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader who made good decisions.

Rhianna - Napoleon

Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader of France, who made the right choices in life. He was a strong leader who never gave up, and was great at leading his troops.

Janus N. - Napoleon the icon of France

Napoleon was a good leader and he should be recognize as the symbol of strongness of France. Shrewd, ambitious, and a skilled military strategist, Napoleon successfully waged war against various Coalitions of Europe nation and expanded his empire. Even though he lost his last battle in Waterloo, he still gave a good fight for France and became an iconic emperor in history of France. Napoleon helped reforming Europe. He also made the Napoleonic Code which is the basic of law in many countries and the greatest achievement in government.  All in all, Napoleon military career spanned over 20 years. Napoleon became an inspiration for the French people to be awaken. During the dark chapter in French’s history, Napoleon served as the light that guided their forebears in the fight for genuine equality and independence.

PSP

Napoleon was a great leader and anybody who thinks otherwise, you’re wrong because Napoleon was Bona part of the best leaders in history. There are many reasons why he is an amazing leader, but some people think he’s a bad leader because of his defeat in Waterloo. I think about it this way, think about how he rose to power and how quickly he did it. Yes it’s not good that he got defeated but he definitely tried his hardest and he gave his best effort in being the best leader of all time. I think he was an amazing leader for the fact of him ruling so much land in a short period of time, no one else can compare to that accomplishment just like he did. Therefore Napoleon was a great military and political leader of his time.

Riley.S- Napolean was the best

Napolean was one of the best leaders for his country, because he built schools for better education.

Jesse -Limited monarchy

The Old Regime in France consisted of an absolute monarchy as well as the social class system.  This system was unconventional to the people because the king/queen made all the decisions, usually benefiting themselves.  They did not listen or account for the information that the Estates-General could have given.  The majority of peoples’ needs were not met because their class was not a top priority.  From this train wreak of a government came many more, and many were eliminated through trial and error.
By the end of the French Revolution, France had established a stable and more efficient government; A limited monarchy.  This consisted of an elected body that helped make decisions along with the king/queen.  The power was balanced between three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial.  This allowed for all the citizens to be heard and somewhat taken into account when decisions were made at the governmental level.  Along with this new and improved system the social class system was abolished and with that any evidence of the Old Regime was gone from present day workings.
If a country was struggling to balance power and find a stable government system the best choice is a limited monarchy.  It accounts for all the best parts of many government systems.  It credits the royals to still have some power but also takes the dictatorship aspect out by adding a governing body.  It takes the peoples needs into consideration and does not segregate based upon class.  Although some may not see the vast potential in using this government the majority will support and maintain it.
