He improved many things for the
better including an education system. He brought the economic good times and
made a civil code, which made all men equal before the law. While there was
many consequences, you always have to make sacrifices for what you want. He
ordered his troops to fire a whiff of grapeshot. Napoleon had many connections
and, rose quickly through the army ranks. He became a lieutenant at just 16
years old, he also became a brigadier general at 24. He spread his ideas of
religion, freedom, and serfdom across Europe. Majority of the French endorsed
his actions. In 1802, he became the First Consul for life, and proclaimed
himself Emperor of the French, in 1804. Through Napoleon’s wars and alliances,
he altered Europe’s political boundaries. He contributed with the growth of the
spirt of nationalism in Europe.
