Napoleon Bonaparte
` Napoleon was a great military
and political leader.
He had many accomplishments throughout his brilliant career. Although he had some downfalls along the way, he was a brilliant military leader as well as a political leader. His actions have developed modern Europe politics. He also stopped the French revolution and in the process made France an empire.
He had many accomplishments throughout his brilliant career. Although he had some downfalls along the way, he was a brilliant military leader as well as a political leader. His actions have developed modern Europe politics. He also stopped the French revolution and in the process made France an empire.
His accomplishments outweighed his negative actions greatly
proving his worth as a great leader who has stood the test of time. He was able
to win many essential battles that lead France out of the revolution. Unlike
most military leaders of that time he lead some battles himself instead of
commanding his army from safety. He was also a strong leader who was always in
charge. This helped keep his army well disciplined which kept so a strong
leader who was always in charge. This helped keep his army well disciplined
which kept his army in shape and able to conquer any task which stood in their
way.
While conquering France he created the Napoleonic code
which forbade privileges based on birth, gave freedom of religion and specified
that government jobs should go to the most qualified. He also founded the Bank
of France which gave stability to France. He controlled labour and had a control
on prices. This control on prices meant that bread would not be unaffordable
for the common public. Napoleon was smart and knew that hunger was more of a
threat to the government than desire for liberty.
While he was a brilliant leader
,he also had a thirst for power and quite a big ego now which would help lead
to his downfall. While he was a brilliant leader, like most geniuses he was
overcome by a weakness. For Napoleon it was his thirst for power.
